I spent the snow day cutting and sticking the opaque plastic on the french doors to Milada's room so she'll have a little privacy. It looks pretty good in these pictures but in reality it is really terrible. There are tons of bubbles and jagged edges and holes where light comes through. I guess I'll have to come up with another solution, but this will have to do for now.
Milada arrives at 3:40 tomorrow. Or rather that is when her plane lands. We'll probably see her around 5:00 on the other side of customs and immigration. Maybe even later. She leaves Sarajevo at 5:30 in the morning, which is 11:30 here. She'll be getting up soon to get ready!
And Aunt Maggie, unlike the birds Kico didn't have to be quarantined when he arrived. Dogs are exempt from that rule as long as they have had their rabies shots more than 30 days previously. He just came right through in his big cage like a suitcase. He has adjusted and we think now knows this is his home. He barked at the Fedex guy and the garbage truck today. The first week or two he didn't care about anyone - the guys building the fence were all over the yard and he walked right past them. He was also not quite eating normally at first but seems to have his full appetite now. And he is very well behaved - today I accidentally didn't close the gate at the bottom of the stairs and he didn't even come up. He just laid there looking at it! He's going to be really happy and feel really at home tomorrow when Milada arrives!
And everyone, FYI, his name is pronounced like Ki-cho. The c is a ch sound just like the s in Makas is a sh. The c also has a diacritical mark!

The rooms look so pretty, Milata is going to love them, so comfortable looking & having Azra so close will make her as happy as I am with Cecilia right upstairs. See you tomorrow, Mom
