I finally got my official letter from the Chancellor yesterday acknowledging that as of July 1st I will be promoted to the Rank of Associate Professor with Tenure!
Yay! I've been checking my mailbox five times a day for the past two weeks, so when the letter finally came I was a little disappointed that it wasn't more exciting, especially as I knew what it was going to say. But nonetheless its exciting to keep my job!
I know I already congratulated you, but I wanted to do it again, in writing! CONGRATULATIONS! Of course I knew you were going to get tenure, but it is still great to have the official recognition. And I hope you get a raise along with it too!
