Here are a series of photos from today showing Miran tilling the garden and then the exciting delivery of 9 cubic yards of top soil blended with compost. Our friend Mark generously was here to help (the other guy in some of the pictures is the truck driver). The pictures are pretty self-explainitory, I'll just mention that the first time the truck dumped the driver forgot to unchain the back, so it had to be lowered and then took some time to dig out the dirt behind the door and release enough pressure to get the chains off. After the truck left it took Miran and Mark half an hour or more to level out the dirt, but almost of all of it landed inside the frame so that was good. It was nearly 90 degrees here today so it was hot for me just standing there watching them (I did shovel a little).

Junacki,9 kubika zemlje.Super da si imao pomoc.Mogu misliti kako ce tvoje biljcice dobro napredovati.
ReplyDeleteThat's my brother!:)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you calculated correctly the amount of soil to get. Now the work begins...
ReplyDeleteWow! It looks great. How are the seedlings coming along? When will you put them out?
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of dirt! Can't wait to see what you're growing. If you end up with empty space to fill, I recently read that one watermelon plant can grow up to 100 square feet.
ReplyDeleteLove, Cecilia
Now you can officially say you got the whole nine yards!
ReplyDeleteHow cool! I would love to have a garden! Can't wait to see what you are able to grow!
