Daddy was here this week-end and we went to the Mummies of the World exhibit at the Discovery Place science museum and also made a trip to the Apple store to buy an adapter for Daddy's computer. But mostly we did a lot of sitting around talking, watching movies, and of course eating well. Last night we went to E2, or Emiril's Eatery - the new restaurant Emiril Lagasse opened here in town. It was very good and we all enjoyed the experience. Thanks Daddy!

More Solidarity with Sarajevo
This week-end was the 20th anniversary of the start of the siege of Sarajevo, and therefore of the 1992-1995 War in Bosnia. A temporary memorial was erected in the city commemorating the 11541 city citizens who died during the war. Rows of empty red chairs represented each of the killed - stretching for about ten blocks from the eternal flame to Presidency building along Marshal Tito Street.

Recent Visits
Last month Cecilia and Margaret came to visit for a wonderful girls trip. Michael tagged along but was such a wonderful guest and happy baby that we were all thrilled he was there.
Us ladies went to the see the ballet Sleeping Beauty one afternoon ...
Last week-end my parents visited and we went to the symphony (we're so cultural, aren't we?) ...
And Mommy tackled a gardening project ... dividing and replanting the decorative grass along our front walk. I have a bit to do to finish the project, but it already looks wonderful!
And on April 1, we celebrated Azra's 2-year anniversary of living with us in the US! Its hard to believe she has been here that long ... but she is getting her Associate's Degree in a month so I guess it has really been 2 years!

While Uncle Miran babysitted ... by introducing Michael to video games and youtube!

Solidarity with Sarajevo
We are thinking and worrying about Milada and everyone else in Sarajevo and Bosnia who is ridiculously snowed in right now. We hope it starts melting soon so she can get out and that heat stays on!
Here are a few pictures of the extremes:
Outside Milada's front door (sorry its so blurry, but you can still make out the tunnel of a path dug out from the door toward the gate to the driveway):
Outside our friend Medin's front door, also in Sarajevo:
The top of our friend Sule's car (and his daughter Neira) in Mostar (yes, snow in Mostar as well):

New Year's
Here are some pictures from the fun this week-end. Most activities revolved around 3-year olds.
We loved having everyone here and miss you all now.
At Bounce U, where even big kids could bounce ...
At Discovery Place Kids - a fabulous children's museum (in the first picture, ingrid is passing through the tube above) ...
And of course there was a lot of time spent hanging out at home, watching movies, reading, playing board games ...
